Americans Elect

This might be interesting. The organization, Americans Elect (here and here), is already on the ballet in several states and is trying to add as many as possible. Their goal is to have a 2012 presidential candidate directly elected by an internet community. They are not without controversy, but it would be a refreshing alternative to standard party systems. Perhaps the major parties will adopt some of these ideas in the future? -To give people the feeling that they have more of an individual voice in the process.
