
Here are shell fragments from another cone snail, the Black and White Cone (Conus ebraeus) collected along the beaches near Dillingham airfield. This is also known as the Hebrew cone; occasionally the markings can resemble Hebrew letters. I think a good modern name would be the Tire Tread Cone.
I'm not sure if the three smaller fragments at the bottom are C. ebraeus. [Update, these lower three might be the Vermiculated Cone (Conus chaldeus).]
